Bio:The Tringham Family is in decline. No longer is it at its height of glory as it was in the centuries before, but the members are still proud, as few as they are.
Russell Tringham is not in the service of the king as his father was. The rank of Chevalier is but a name that had been passed down to him. He has no desire for climbing up the social ladder, but dedicates his time to research; particularly in the fields of botany and alchemy though alchemy is in decline (he simply finds it interesting). He is thought of as a social recluse and many members of nobility look down on this as they are peculiar hobbies (botany especially) in an age where many a young man normally would be enjoying a game of cards and whatnot. He travels often between the Parisian estate and the one in the countryside and has recently returned to Paris after a few years. It had been difficult with both parents deceased but he has managed all the same, even with a deteriorating health.
The Chevalier has an odd cough that arises every now and again and he attributes this to the different air quality of Paris. But would such a cough be followed by a period of being confined to bed? The Chevalier keeps the true reason hidden for it is connected with secret research that not even his brother knows about. Research that may very well be the end of him if he is not careful.
His intelligent but naїve twelve-year-old brother Fletcher is coming of age soon and so Russell is very protective of him, especially when the older men tend to be keen on corrupting him so soon in life.
Personality: Russell by nature is very charismatic and kind to those in need. But at the same time, he can be quite arrogant and cocky, especially with those that he dislikes. Though he works hard and gains tremendous amounts of knowledge at a young age, he does not have his own goals but seeks to complete those of his father. He is stubborn and is very difficult to reason with even when what he is doing is completely wrong, chained by responsibility to family honor and expectations. He does not seem to realize that this mindset hinders him and he often wears a mask of indifference when it is pointed out.
He is highly protective of his younger brother Fletcher and will do anything and everything to make sure that he is safe.
